How long does it take for SMS to be delivered?

Accepted Answer

Most messages are delivered within 5-10 seconds, though delivery time can vary with network congestion, the recipient's carrier, and whether the recipient's phone is on and in coverage. Delivery receipts let you track the exact status of each message.

Can I customize the SMS sender ID?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the Business plan you can set an alphanumeric sender ID of up to 11 characters. It must pass ACMA compliance validation, and messages sent with an alphanumeric sender ID cannot receive replies — use a virtual number for two-way messaging.

Can I send SMS internationally with SMSuni?

Accepted Answer

Currently SMSuni focuses on Australian mobile numbers only. International messaging is planned for the future.

What happens if a message fails to deliver?

Accepted Answer

Messages can fail because of an invalid or disconnected number, blocked SMS, or network issues on the recipient side. If the carrier rejects a message outright, the charge is refunded in full automatically; once the carrier has accepted a message, the charge is not refunded if delivery subsequently fails, because carrier fees are still incurred. Contact support if you believe an error occurred on our end.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard, then Billing, then Manage Subscription and select Cancel Subscription. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, and any prepaid credits already on your account remain available after cancellation.

Support is by email during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm AEST, with a one business day response target on Professional and Business plans.
